This is a new forum feature, the Thank You button , located here :
This is a good way to let some1 know you appreciate their posts. For instance, if you want to thank some1 for the posted code, instead of actually posting it, you can simply use Thank You button. This will also keep the board clean, making it easer to find the codes( also avoding reapeting the codes ).
Ofc no1 is saying you cant make thank you post... this feature is introduced to make things easier... You can use it , or not, choice is yours ! 
Bellow your user name you can find the number of Thank You given and received :
and on the bottom of the actual post you can see who thanked you ( click on the pic for preview )

e in fondo al post vero e proprio puoi vedere chi ti ha ringraziato (clicca sulla foto per l'anteprima)
