I consider myself to be pretty patient.......BUT there is one real major exception. Waiting in longggg lines. I think Walmart has to be the worst.
What sets my head reeling like a slot machine is the customer in front of me who....watches each item being scanned...all the while her purse is snugly tucked under her arm. As each item passes the conveyor belt...she is talking to her kid...checking her phone..and looking around.
When a price ck is called.....she stands there with a blank stare waiting.....all the while her purse is snugly under her arm. Items are rung up and being bagged....again her purse is still snugly under her arm.
The cashier turns to her and announces the grand total....as if in shock that she actually has to pay for these items...the customer say "oh".....then slips the strap off her shoulder....but not without paying by CHECK!
Don't dare have the check ready.....no no......don't dare have your license in hand....no no....wait til the bitter end........then think about paying!!!!!!!!
I am the complete opposite......debit card in hand......check and license ready to go before i even hit the conveyor belt.

Non osare avere l'assegno pronto.....no no......non osare avere la patente in mano....no no....aspetta fino alla fine..... ...poi pensa a pagare!!!!!!!!
Io sono l'esatto opposto... carta di debito in mano... assegno e patente pronti prima ancora di colpire il nastro trasportatore.
Questo ti spinge anche a bere?

Not quite, but then I usually try and go for the "Self-Checkout" cashiers. No, this is NOT so I can slip some extra for myself, I pay for it all. But best of all, my wait is less.
I've heard stories about some waiting to the last, then hauling out the "Govt assistance" card and THEN paying anything beyond that in pennies.
In closing I'll admit I have hit the self checkout and have found anywhere from $5 to $35 in cash left there from the person who was previous. I'll admit, I used to turn it into the "PIC" who was manning the check stands, till I found out many of them (Not all though) pocket the money anyway.
So if I'm going to be accused of theft, at least I'll admit to it.Non proprio, ma di solito provo a rivolgermi alle cassiere "Self-Checkout". No, NON è così, quindi posso mettere qualcosa in più per me, pago tutto. Ma soprattutto, la mia attesa è minore.

In conclusione, ammetto di aver fatto il checkout automatico e di aver trovato dai 5 ai 35 dollari in contanti lasciati dalla persona precedente. Lo ammetto, lo trasformavo nel "PIC" che gestiva gli sportelli degli assegni, finché non ho scoperto che molti di loro (non tutti però) intascavano comunque i soldi.
Quindi, se devo essere accusato di furto, almeno lo ammetterò. -

Your post cracked me up, as I could picture the exact scenerio you were speaking of. We have all been stuck behind that person who refuses to be "READY" to check out.
How about the one with two carts full, and after they finally get the grand total, they claim, "NO, that can't be right." and demand the cashier go thru the tape and see what each item was rung up at until they find the item they think they were over charged for.
Or this one: After the cart(s) have finally been rung up, they hand over a stack of coupons to the cashier that is an inch thick. Each coupon has to be scanned, half are expired, and the other half do not even go for the item that is trying to be purchased.
Oh yes, the joys of long lines. I absolutley hate it, and avoid it at all costs.

Il tuo post mi ha fatto ridere, perché potevo immaginare lo scenario esatto di cui stavi parlando. Siamo rimasti tutti bloccati dietro quella persona che si rifiuta di essere "PRONTA" per fare il check-out.
Che ne dici di quello con due carrelli pieni e, dopo aver finalmente ottenuto il totale complessivo, affermano: "NO, non può essere giusto". e chiedi al cassiere di esaminare il nastro e vedere a cosa è stato segnalato ciascun articolo finché non trova l'articolo per il quale ritiene che sia stato addebitato un importo eccessivo.
O questo: dopo che i carrelli sono stati finalmente sollevati, consegnano al cassiere una pila di buoni spessa un pollice. Ogni coupon deve essere scansionato, metà è scaduto e l'altra metà non va nemmeno a prendere l'articolo che si sta tentando di acquistare.
Oh sì, le gioie delle lunghe file. Lo odio assolutamente e lo evito a tutti i costi.
