"Hashtag Jameson was born at 10 o'clock last nite," the parent announced on Facebook Saturday night. "She weys
ounds and i luv her so much!!!!!!"
Friends started leaving congratulations in the comments:
"Aww babes you finally had youre Tweetybird xxx," one wrote.
Others responded with... hashtags:
#Foolishparents, #YourParentsHateYou, #StupidestNameEver
And others questioned the parents' mental health:
"These are the things that convince me the world is ending in a month. Not the unstable sociopolitical nature of many nations of the world. Not the increasingly erratic weather patterns we've been seeing. Nope. Someone named their child Hashtag. We are all f****d and I think we might deserve it."
Well, I guess I agree with the last one. You?

Voi? -

Yeah I agree with the last one. Poor little sod having to go through life being called a (twitter) symbol. I wonder if anyone ever called their kid ampersand?
The world has gone nuts.

I have no words, really. It's sad. I also think it's tragic that people name their children after celebrities, tv show's or soap opera's characters which happens in Serbia very often.

That's probably the most idiotic thing I've heard in a while. The name is ridiculous and it seems to me that the parent is way too immature to have a baby. If you'd name your child hashtag you got problems. Just sayin
Sto solo dicendo

I am just curious what country they are from. Could it be its a common name in another language or culture they or family is from? Maybe in another culture it is not a pound sign?
It definitely is a wild name!

They are either British or American as far as I can tell. Don't let their atrocious spelling fool you
