Hi Gang:
Last night I smoked the last cigarette in my pack. I knew I'd wake up and have to run to the store to get more so I could have my morning ritual where I pretty much chain smoke with my coffee and LCB.
This morning, barely awake, I recieved a call that my friend needed to borrow my vehicle, and I of course said "Yes" completely forgetting my lack of nicotine in the house.
As the car taillights disappeared around the corner, it hit me. "OH NO." I felt a fear like I was looking death in the eye. NO CIGARETTES. What will I do? Will I live? Will I die? Will I end up hurting someone?
I did the mad dash thru the house, looking for that evasive butt I might of left in the ashtray, but to no avail. I WAS OUT.
By 8am, I was just a tad cranky. By 10am, I was getting increasingly irritated at the smallest things. By 4pm, I was a real B**ch.
Its a good thing I was alone all today. that way, no one could get hurt unnecessarily.
About 5pm, my friend returns my car. I called her and left a message to PLEASE stop and pick me up some cigarettes. She did. I was waiting for her at the end of the driveway, lighter in hand. I about ripped her arm off trying to get in her purse for those smokes. With shaky hands I lit up. It is true when I say I smoked several in a row.
That is the longest I have been without a cigarette in a very longggg time, and I am not looking to ever try that again any time soon.
Anyone else ever experience the "Out of Smokes" nightmare.
I am now once again in front of my computer , smokes in hand, Also my coffee, and all is right with the world.

Alle 8 ero solo un po’ irritabile. Alle 10 ero sempre più irritato per le cose più piccole. Alle 16 ero una vera stronza.
È un bene che io sia stato solo tutto oggi. in questo modo nessuno potrebbe farsi male inutilmente.
Verso le 17:00, il mio amico mi restituisce la macchina. L'ho chiamata e ho lasciato un messaggio per pregarmi di fermarmi a prendermi delle sigarette. Lo ha fatto. La stavo aspettando in fondo al vialetto, con l'accendino in mano. Le ho quasi strappato il braccio cercando di entrare nella borsa per quelle sigarette. Con le mani tremanti mi sono accesa. È vero quando dico che ne ho fumati diversi di seguito.
Questo è il periodo più lungo in cui sono stato senza sigaretta da molto tempo, e non ho intenzione di provarci di nuovo presto.
Qualcun altro ha mai vissuto l'incubo "Out of Smokes".
Adesso sono di nuovo davanti al mio computer, con il fumo in mano, anche il mio caffè, e tutto va bene nel mondo.

I am in a smoke free house..Dang!! (Just kidding, it's pretty nice)
Let's see..I was in Boy scouts and we got to this lake and I'd brought along a pack along and of course I had it with me while crossing a stream. Yep, destroyed.
And I still had 5 days of "Camp" to survive. The funny thing I learned later was everyone KNEW I smoked and they later said "Gee, we thought you'd come and given it up at camp!"
Intentionally I have gone 3 days..Nasty! Though once I helped move my direct boss and he was a non-smoker and so I told him so as to not encourage his kids, I wouldn't smoke.
12..long, horrible, teeth grinding hours later I had a smoke.>Ahhhhhhhhh
Anyone asks me for such again, I'll just tell them "Go hire a crew!'Dannazione PMM, te lo dico, sei così fortunato.

Vediamo... ero nei Boy Scout e siamo arrivati a questo lago e avevo portato con me uno zaino e ovviamente lo avevo con me mentre attraversavo un ruscello. Sì, distrutto.
E avevo ancora 5 giorni di "Camp" per sopravvivere. La cosa divertente che ho imparato in seguito è che tutti SAPEVANO che fumavo e in seguito hanno detto "Cavolo, pensavamo che saresti venuto e avresti smesso al campo!"
Intenzionalmente sono passato 3 giorni..brutto! Anche se una volta ho aiutato a spostare il mio capo diretto e lui era un non fumatore e quindi gli ho detto, per non incoraggiare i suoi figli, che non avrei fumato.

honey..i thought you quit?? what happened? don't answer that..i tried so many times before i finally did it. well that sound like a BAD day...i have gone cold turkey on a few of my bad habits before, and you sounded just like i felt...scattering around the house, looking for any evidence of anything...that really sucks. glad she was only gone for the day

tesoro...pensavo che avessi smesso?? quello che è successo? non rispondere... ci ho provato così tante volte prima di riuscirci finalmente. beh, sembra una BRUTTA giornata... in passato ho perso la testa per alcune delle mie cattive abitudini, e tu sembravi proprio come se mi sentissi... sparpagliarmi per casa, alla ricerca di qualsiasi prova di qualcosa... che davvero fa schifo. felice che fosse andata via solo per un giorno
