    I did my best to spread a bit of holiday cheer & felt great joy in something I did recently. 
    I collected blankets from myself, family, friends...anyone who could donate. I'm a senior citizen, & due to disability can no longer drive, so a friend drove me to a local area where homeless folks huddle to try to stay warm at night. We parked at the curb, word spread quickly & soon all the blankets had been given out to grateful recipients. I only wish I'd had more & I've already started stockpiling more for another trip.
    I find that if you want to do acts of kindness, there is always a way. And it doesn't matter if it is small, if it is from your heart & helps someone.   
    Here's one example:
    Each year, in many cities, prior to Thanksgiving various supermarkets offer a free turkey if you purchase a specific dollar amount of groceries from them. I purchase just enough to earn my turkey & then any additional purchases I make go toward earning another free turkey which I then donate to my local Salvation Army. It is a wonderful feeling to know  you are helping provide a nice meal for many who would otherwise go without.

    On Christmas this year i've made two things for which i am proud of.
    I don't have much money, my salary is 300 $/month, but with all of that i try to win something more playing some poker, betting on sports and have some fun into the casino.At the end of September i won a gadget gift in a poker tournament from 888poker.There were 8000 players and i finished first winning 250 $ and a dream package.It was first time i win a great prize in a freeroll. I had to choose from many packages including holidays and gadgets. Finally i choosed a great laptop valued at over 2000 $. I had to wait until middle of December to have it in my possesion. Of course when i receive it i was very happy. First time i wanted to sell it because some extra money on this holiday were very good. In the end i gave the laptop as a Christmas present to my brother's wife. They have two little kids and both work a lot to have a decent life. She works on an old laptop with many programs and that's why this was the perfect gift for her. Now with this laptop she can work a lot more faster and can stay more with the kids. I am sure that this was the best decision, money are not so important when you have a familly.

    The second thing i did it was on Christmas day. It wasn't my initiative, but i helped a good friend  to make some orphans very happy. We colected sweets and toys from all our friends and went to this school near my town to share this things. We also took Santa with us and the kids were so excited that Christmas came also for them.

    Who knows, maybe on next Christmas i can do more of good things for other people.

    Due to so many entries and stories to read, this is going to take a bit longer than i anticipated.  I am only about half way through all of them therefore winners will be announced on Monday.

    Also because it is the first contest we have had in a long time that the number of entries exceed the number of prizes not every member who participated will win. A true competitive contest!

    Im really honored that you guys chose me as a winner. After I submitted my entry, I felt kind of guilty for trying to win something because of someone Else's misfortune. I am going to try to do something good with my winnings.
    I appreciate everyones story. I had tears in my eyes reading most of them..............

    That is very nice of you. And it is entirely up to you to choose who you wish to give the money to, since it is your prize.
