Leicester give a fight to Sevilla and they're pretty much in the clash quite surprisingly for me, I thought it would be decided in the first match, so if they go trough in the CL I could bet they'll be relegated.
Juventus won deservedly at Porto and it wasn't surprise I think despite that Portuguese are great at home, they played 10 man trough whole the game after early sent off.
Il Leicester dà battaglia al Siviglia e sono praticamente nello scontro, una sorpresa per me, pensavo che si sarebbe deciso nella prima partita, quindi se passano il turno in CL posso scommettere che retrocedono.

You're probably right about that Johnny although I doubt this Asian billionaire owner and his son the chairman are too aware of how to manage a football club, there's lack of patience these days for sure.

You're right after all these spent millions English sides don't have an excuses really, no matter if this is Bayern, Barcelona, Real or Juventus you just have to compete with those teams no matter what when you have some of the most expensive and highest paid players in the world.
In the Arsenal's case I think it's about lack of character in the team not class, they showed that over the years in England too when we look at the big games.
I think Arsenal has 19!! in a road CL appearances and guess what - last 7 seasons(including this) they left the tournament at R of 16!! Is that a persistent failure or what??
Arsenal is the freshest example but I think all English top sides under-perform in Europe, look what happened to Spurs against Gent in UEFA league, team that they outplayed with a 10 man in the second match and still not managed to beat.
The explanation is pretty simple I think - too much respect to the opponents and ill-famed inability of the English sides in defence to hinder, balk, clog or whatever you like to call it the opponents, just attack the man with the ball, never give him a free space. But they don't doing that and just allow the opponent to play their game, the whole concept of the English system for the defence is wrong I think but that is also a reflection of the British character and how these people think I guess.

Yes great achievement for them, they really look like a last season team now, and Sevilla understood CL is not UEFA league ;)
Schmeichel with couple of great penalty saves in both legs was one of the main reasons but I really think Sevilla lost the clash first leg when they really should it won with 3 clear goals maybe, lucky or not it was a great effort from the Leicester players.

I think that 5-3 in the first game was completely unfair result and it happened because of the some really huge gk's and defence mistakes. Tonight Monaco once again were completely dominant in first half but in the second they just sit back in defence and City took control, I really don't think City are that good how everybody thinks of them, the PL sides threaten them with too much respect but in the CL they've been exposed for many years now!
I'm not going to gloat about their defeat but they just proved English sides are not adequate to the European football and they are the English team which plays closest style to that of European top sides with all the little tricks, simulations, and all the talks with refs even when it's just a matter of a throw in...anyway Monaco overcome them with what... 20.. 50.. times smaller budget?!

Penso che il 5-3 nella prima partita sia stato un risultato completamente ingiusto ed è successo a causa di alcuni errori di difesa e portieri davvero enormi. Stasera il Monaco ha dominato ancora una volta nel primo tempo, ma nel secondo si è fermato in difesa e il City ha preso il controllo. Non penso davvero che il City sia così forte come tutti pensano di loro, le squadre del PL lo minacciano con troppo rispetto. ma nella CL vengono smascherati ormai da molti anni!
Non ho intenzione di esultare per la loro sconfitta, ma hanno semplicemente dimostrato che le squadre inglesi non sono adeguate al calcio europeo e sono la squadra inglese che gioca con lo stile più vicino a quello delle migliori squadre europee con tutti i piccoli trucchi, le simulazioni e tutto il resto. parla con gli arbitri anche quando è solo questione di rimessa laterale... comunque il Monaco li supera con cosa... 20.. 50.. volte meno budget?!

Atletico scared Real for a while but in the end they were once again on the loosing side against their Madrid neighbours in the CL, you have to feel sorry for Atletico the way they lost two finals and now a semi in an always close clashes.
I think Juventus could win that cup.
L'Atletico ha spaventato il Real per un po', ma alla fine è stato ancora una volta dalla parte dei perdenti contro i suoi vicini di casa del Real Madrid in CL, bisogna dispiacersi per l'Atletico per il modo in cui ha perso due finali e ora una semifinale in uno scontro sempre serrato.
Penso che la Juventus potrebbe vincere quella coppa.

It's all over, Real Madrid became the first team to successfully defend a Champions League trophy. Juventus played a solid first half as Mandzukic scored a beautiful goal to make it all square after Cristiano Ronaldo had put Real ahead. But then Juventus didn't see to turn up at all for the second half, Real Madrid totally dominated them and ran away with it. Juventus let in three goals in the Champions League all season, but conceded just as many in the last 45 minutes of the final.

È tutto finito, il Real Madrid è diventata la prima squadra a difendere con successo un trofeo della Champions League. La Juventus ha giocato un buon primo tempo con Mandzukic che ha segnato un bellissimo gol per rimettere tutto a posto dopo che Cristiano Ronaldo aveva portato il Real in vantaggio. Ma poi la Juventus non si è fatta vedere per niente nel secondo tempo, il Real Madrid l'ha dominata totalmente ed è scappata via. La Juventus ha subito tre gol in Champions League in tutta la stagione, ma ne ha subiti altrettanti negli ultimi 45 minuti della finale.

Yeah I thought Juventus could stop Spannish domination in the CL but obviously they were far away from doing so...you're right Johnny - seems like they weren't on the field for at least the first 20 mins on the second half.
There were lucky bounces in both first and second Real goals but that couldn't be an excuse for Juventus, I said to a friend before the game that Juve centre backs performance would decide the end result in the game and I think no one from Chiellini, Bonucci or Barzagli were on the needed level and of course neither as a group too.
In the end I think Zidane aggressive approach with all these "traps" in the middle of the field was the keen for Real success and that just showed that Zidane has a "bigger balls" than Allegri if you know what I mean.
Sì, pensavo che la Juventus potesse fermare il dominio spagnolo in CL, ma ovviamente erano ben lontani dal farlo... hai ragione Johnny, sembra che non siano stati in campo almeno per i primi 20 minuti del secondo tempo.
Ci sono stati rimbalzi fortunati sia nel primo che nel secondo gol del Real ma questa non poteva essere una scusa per la Juventus, ho detto ad un amico prima della partita che la prestazione dei difensori centrali della Juve avrebbe deciso il risultato finale della partita e penso che nessuno di Chiellini , Bonucci o Barzagli erano al livello necessario e ovviamente nemmeno in gruppo.
Alla fine penso che l'approccio aggressivo di Zidane con tutte queste "trappole" in mezzo al campo sia stato il desiderio del Real di vincere e questo ha semplicemente dimostrato che Zidane ha "palle più grandi" di Allegri, se capisci cosa intendo.
