Nice thread here, glad to see all the pics and that were close enough to share with each other.
Sadly, I began taking everything down today. The place looks completely bare already lol. My daughter was pissed when she saw the tree missing, but oh well.
Next year, I know what to do and what not to do. this was my first time getting a tree and decorating and such. I went a bit overboard, spent way too much, and got myself into more than i could handle. I even hung lights for others and then became on call it seemed to fix them every time they went out. While I have lights that came crashing down after the snow we got, I had to leave mine hanging and nto working for a week or so while i was out fixing everyone elses lights.
On top of that, i went and cut my tree down using a hand saw in 15 degree weather. Yes, im a dumb ass i know. Laying on my back, freezing my ass off with 2 kids screaming and fighting was not my idea of a good time for the family. Not to mention I had to pick one that was a half mile or more from my car and there was noone to help me carry it. I still ave a bum shoulder from that experience.

Purtroppo oggi ho iniziato a smontare tutto. Il posto sembra già completamente spoglio lol. Mia figlia si è incazzata quando ha visto che mancava l'albero, ma vabbè.
L’anno prossimo so cosa fare e cosa non fare. questa era la prima volta che prendevo un albero, lo decoravo e cose del genere. Ho esagerato un po', ho speso troppo e mi sono impegnato in più di quanto potessi gestire. Ho anche appeso le luci per gli altri e poi sono diventato di guardia, sembrava che le aggiustasse ogni volta che uscivano. Anche se ho delle luci che si sono schiantate dopo la nevicata, ho dovuto lasciare le mie appese e non lavorare per circa una settimana mentre ero fuori a riparare le luci di tutti gli altri.
Oltre a ciò, sono andato a tagliare il mio albero usando una sega a mano con un tempo di 15 gradi. Sì, sono uno stupido, lo so. Sdraiarmi sulla schiena, congelarmi il culo con 2 bambini che urlavano e litigavano non era la mia idea di divertimento per la famiglia. Per non parlare del fatto che dovevo sceglierne uno a mezzo miglio o più dalla mia macchina e non c'era nessuno che mi aiutasse a trasportarlo. Ho ancora la spalla ferita da quell'esperienza.

Sorry to hear that ohmesohrny. I hope that you will get it right next year! I am still picking the decorations and the tree is an artificial one, as I live in a flat, and it is too warm for a real tree. I would hate to just throw it away after few days. Anyway, the little guy is really excited to help, as he's 3.5y old, trying to put on the tree everything he sees, as he seems to like it over-decorated
Mi dispiace sentire questo ohmesohrny. Spero che riuscirai a farlo bene l'anno prossimo! Sto ancora raccogliendo le decorazioni e l'albero è artificiale, dato che vivo in un appartamento, e fa troppo caldo per un albero vero. Mi dispiacerebbe buttarlo via dopo pochi giorni. Ad ogni modo, il piccoletto è davvero entusiasta di aiutare, dato che ha 3 anni e mezzo e cerca di mettere sull'albero tutto ciò che vede, dato che sembra che gli piaccia troppo decorato
