Hiya Guys and Dolls,
I finally got the tree up last week and it smells so darn pretty with the pine. I always wanted a Griswold Christmas with tons and tons of lights and decorations outside but have yet to really get that mission accomplished. My biggest problem is not having enough outlets and they are stacked on top of one another and i end up blowing my lites.
Do you put up an artificial tree or a fake one and do you decorate outside?

I like little live ones in pots. After Christmas I plant them and have my Christmas tree all year round. I do minor decorating outside, nothing elaborate.
kattMi piacciono i piccoli vivi in vaso. Dopo Natale li pianto e ho il mio albero di Natale tutto l'anno. Faccio piccole decorazioni all'esterno, niente di elaborato.

A real tree.. we used to alternate, real then fake.. but we'd have to wait a whole'nother year for a real one.. it's just not christmas unless the smell of pine scents through the house, every single time i smell that aroma it always reminds and flashes images of the wonderful christmas' we had growing up, place it by the window or against wall.. the handle with care cracked and chipped bulbs that were never handled with care cuz the cat found it's new toy dangling off the tree (no no kitty) the arguements and frustrations of untangling the lights, crossing your fingers in hopes that the lights light, if not going through the whole strand to find the "bad" light.. which tree topper was going to be used, the famous Christmas tree lean (to the left or right this year) lol.. the Christmas Eve gifts of pajamas and 1 toy, the pine needles stuck in the feets and butts of our PJ's, the tree sap stripe on our arms and hands which was impossible to get off, the singin' of.. "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth".. the nights with mom with her bubblin champange glass and dad with his pipe and beer mug, cuddling listening to bing crosbys...

a fake tree just doesn't give off the same memory..Un albero vero.. prima alternavamo, vero e finto.. ma dovremmo aspettare un anno intero per averne uno vero.. non è Natale a meno che l'odore dei pini non profuma la casa, ogni volta sento quell'aroma che ricorda sempre e fa lampeggiare le immagini del meraviglioso Natale che abbiamo trascorso crescendo, posizionalo vicino alla finestra o contro il muro.. la maniglia con cura ha rotto e lampadine scheggiate che non sono mai state maneggiate con cura perché il gatto l'ha trovata nuova giocattolo che pende dall'albero (no no gattino) le discussioni e le frustrazioni di districare le luci, incrociando le dita nella speranza che le luci si accendano, se non attraversando l'intero filo per trovare la luce "cattiva"... quale punta dell'albero stava andando da usare, il famoso albero di Natale inclinato (a sinistra o a destra quest'anno) lol.. i regali della vigilia di Natale: pigiama e 1 giocattolo, gli aghi di pino incastrati nei piedi e nel fondoschiena dei nostri pigiami, la striscia di linfa dell'albero sui nostri braccia e mani da cui era impossibile liberarsi, il canto di... "tutto quello che voglio per Natale sono i miei due denti anteriori".. le notti con mamma con il suo bicchiere di champagne pieno di bolle e papà con la pipa e il boccale di birra, coccolandosi in ascolto a Bing Crosby...

un albero finto semplicemente non sprigiona lo stesso ricordo..
