I'm down with the flu, I'm feeling blue 
Now seriously, I am down with the flu, got a nice solid fever, coughing non-stop and everything.
Do you have any remedies you might recommend? But excluding pills and stuff like that, those might take care of the flu but they also mess with my stomach.
On the other hand, I noticed that fever tends to make me a bit more creative, not all bad

That is a solid suggestion, I've got whiskey and also some traditional Romanian plum brandy. I guess if I combine the two I'd scare the flu away Might also get a headache in the morning though

È un suggerimento valido, ho del whisky e anche del tradizionale brandy di prugne rumeno. Immagino che se combinassi le due cose, spaventerei l'influenza Potrebbe anche venirti mal di testa al mattino

You cant go wrong with Romanian plum brandy ( or sljivovica as it's called in Serbian ).
Non puoi sbagliare con il brandy di prugne rumeno (o sljivovica come viene chiamato in serbo).

I tend to leave meds out of it - the body's an amazing machine, capable of repairing itself given time..just stick to fluids to keep hydrated and soups for warmth and something in your gut

Yeah, I hate meds too! Thanks for the advice, just had a soup and I feel a bit better already!

Get plenty of sleep and if you can't sleep, snuggle up on the sofa with a nice thick duvet, a shot of brandy and a hot water bottle.

Mi piacciono i rimedi naturali, consiglio la camomilla con tanti limoni. E come tutti hanno detto, la vitamina C è un vantaggio, quindi fai il pieno di arance se non vuoi prendere pillole di vitamina C. Spero che ti sentirai meglio.

Thanks fried-eggs, I usually eat lots of oranges and pomelo, I guess my vitamin C levels should be just fine. But I did stuff myself with oranges yesterday and one big pomelo right before going to sleep

Just rest a lot, and drink hot teas with honey and lemon. BTW, the tea must not be very hot when adding lemon juice and honey (max. around 55 degrees C).
Get well soon!Basta riposarsi molto e bere tè caldi con miele e limone. A proposito, il tè non deve essere molto caldo quando si aggiunge il succo di limone e il miele (max. intorno ai 55 gradi C).
