US fast-food company Burger King revealed that its Twitter account may have been hacked, after its profile picture was changed to a McDonald's logo. The background picture on the account was also changed and it showed Fish McBites.
After the hack the account tweeted that the company had been sold to rival hamburger chain McDonald's. "We just got sold to McDonald's! Look for McDonald's in a hood near you," one post read. It also posted messages such as: "If I catch you at a Wendys, we're fightin!"
Meanwhile, McDonald's tweeted in response to the hack: "We empathize with our @BurgerKing counterparts. Rest assured, we had nothing to do with the hacking."
I guess I believe McDonald's when they say they had nothing to do with it. What do you think?

I read this yesterday on a news site too, and the first thing that came to my mind is a publicity stunt, think of it as a way they can get free advertising, although they dont really need advertising now, they are big enough companys and people know there names well enough now lol
but yes i think it was some form of stunt, but obviously we will never know if this was proper or not, speculation is a part of everyday life

L'ho letto anch'io ieri su un sito di notizie, e la prima cosa che mi è venuta in mente è una trovata pubblicitaria, considerala come un modo per ottenere pubblicità gratuita, anche se non hanno davvero bisogno di pubblicità adesso, sono aziende abbastanza grandi e la gente conosce i nomi abbastanza bene ormai lol
ma sì, penso che sia stata una specie di bravata, ma ovviamente non sapremo mai se fosse corretta o meno, le speculazioni fanno parte della vita di tutti i giorni

Non credo che nemmeno McDonald's abbia nulla a che fare con tutto ciò. Semmai Burger King l'ha fatto da solo o Wendy ha uno o due ossi da delinquente nel suo corpo.
