Manchester United 3 Chelsea 0 !!!
Chris Smalling scored the opening goal, then Nani made it 2-0 with a ferocious shot from distance and Rooney scored the third one minutes before the break. I seriously doubt that Man United can let this victory slip through their fingers now.

Yes, Man United won it 3-1! Chelsea played pretty well though but Fernando Torres wasted a couple of glorious chances that could have put the Blues back into the game.
That makes it five wins in a row for United and four in a row for me :)

Given the fierce rivalry that is unfolding here I decided to show my support for the Chicago Bears by putting my money on them to beat the Green Bay Packers tonight!
It's not a safe bet at all, on the contrary, but I like rooting for the underdogs :) The Packers are strong favourites to win the game but I hope that playing at home will help the Bears...

Since the football bet didn't go too well I decided to go back to soccer this week but that is mostly because there will be a special game tonight in the English Premier League: the North London Derby that will see Tottenham taking on Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
This is one of the hottest rivalries in England and this time Tottenham are the favourites given Arsenal's terrible early season form (they lost three games out of the last six). Tottenham come from three consecutive wins and they surely will be doing their best to grab the fourth.
But I think that Arsenal are bound to return to their former glory or at least show some pride in this derby and that is why I decided to put my money on a draw.

The game is simply awesome, extremely intense! But things are not looking good for me and the Gunners at half time, the Spurs are leading 1-0 courtesy of Rafael Van Der Vaart's goal. However, I feel that Arsenal have what it takes to fight back and I hope they will do that in the second half.

It's time for another bet but I have to admit I was lacking inspiration this week. I had no gut feelings about any event and since time is running out I have to place a Sunday bet just to keep the wheels in motion.
I chose a rather safe bet but it's a bit risky too since it's a combo bet on three games. The event is the NFL, the American football teams are getting into the heat of the season and I believe that could make the favourites less likely to stumble and create upsets. Here are the three games that I have picked:
New Orleans at Carolina - (Moneyline) New Orleans
Seattle at NY Giants - (Moneyline) NY Giants
NY Jets at New England - (Moneyline) New England

It's 0-0 at half time, so far so good... The game is quite nervy and both teams seem afraid of losing it rather than willing to take chances and push for a win. But you can never know what will happen, the whole game could change in a second.
A fine primo tempo è 0-0, fin qui tutto bene... La partita è piuttosto nervosa ed entrambe le squadre sembrano avere paura di perderla piuttosto che essere disposte a rischiare e spingere per la vittoria. Ma non puoi mai sapere cosa accadrà, l’intero gioco potrebbe cambiare in un secondo.

Yes! It's over and the score is 1-1! I was fearing the worst to be honest as Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard had put his side ahead after half time but substitute Javier Hernandez made it 1-1 with around 10 minutes left. Then Liverpool had a few chances but bad luck and a fantastic David De Gea between the sticks denied them the winning goal.
SÌ! È finita e il punteggio è 1-1! A dire il vero temevo il peggio dato che il capitano del Liverpool Steven Gerrard aveva portato la sua squadra in vantaggio dopo l'intervallo, ma il sostituto Javier Hernandez ha segnato l'1-1 a circa 10 minuti dalla fine. Poi il Liverpool ha avuto qualche occasione ma la sfortuna e un fantastico David De Gea tra i pali hanno negato il gol della vittoria.

Ieri i Cardinals hanno davvero battuto i Rangers in gara 3 e hanno vinto 16 a 7. Questo è abbastanza raro dato che i Rangers perdono raramente in casa durante la post-stagione e questo è il motivo principale dietro la mia scommessa: trovo difficile credere che i I Rangers perderanno due partite consecutive in casa. Quindi ecco qua, i miei soldi vanno ai Rangers, indipendentemente dal lanciatore titolare.

I'm glad indeed! I have to say that I was unsure about the result, didn't have any "gut" feeling about it, but I would have never imagined that it would end like that. It was a huge humiliation for Man United and their fans.

Sono contento davvero! Devo dire che non ero sicuro del risultato, non avevo alcuna sensazione "di pancia", ma non avrei mai immaginato che sarebbe finita così. È stata un'enorme umiliazione per il Manchester United e i suoi tifosi.
