Smith added 16 for the Knicks. Tyson Chandler pulled off a stunning 20 rebounds for the third straight game, becoming the first Knick to do this since Willis Reed in 1969. Jose Calderon led the Pistons with 15 points on his debut. The Knicks are second in the Eastern Conference while the Pistons are down in 10th place after losing two games in a row.

The San Antonio Spurs managed to extend their winning streak to no less than 11 games after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-94 on Wednesday. The Spurs are still playing without Tim Duncan (sore left knee) and Manu Ginobli (tight left hamstring), but they got great performances from Danny Green and Tony Parker. Green made a career-high eight 3-pointers and finished the game with 28 points while Parker had 31 points. Nikola Pekovic led Minnesota with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Spurs are first in the Western Conference while the Timberwolves are down in 12th position.

The in-form Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to eight games with a crushing 128-96 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Kenneth Faried had 21 points and 12 rebounds while Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 24 points for the Denver Nuggets. Ty Lawson also had 16 points and 12 assists for Denver. The Bulls had to play without three of their top guards though and it was Daequan Cook who led Chicago with 19 points off the bench. The Nuggets climbed up to fourth position in the Western Conference while the Bulls are fourth in the East after losing two in a row.

The San Antonio Spurs finally got beaten and it's the Detroit Pistons who achieved that, 119-109 on Friday. Greg Monroe had 26 points and 16 rebounds as the Pistons ended the Spurs' 11-game winning streak. Brandon Knight had 24 points and Charlie Villanueva scored a season-high 21 points off the bench for the Piston. Tony Parker had 31 points and eight assists to lead the Spurs, but they recorded their first defeat since losing 101-98 at Memphis on Jan. 11. The Spurs remain first in the Western Conference while the Pistons are 10th in the East.

The Miami Heat are on fire! They clinched a seventh consecutive win and it was a prestigious one as they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 110-100. LeBron James became the first NBA player to score at least 30 points in seven straight games since Wilt Chamberlain did it in the 1962-63 season. James finished with 39 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists while Chris Bosh scored 20 and Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen had 13 apiece. The Miami Heat continued their amazing winning streak with a landslide 109-77 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Sunday.
