When i hit a monster on the flop I will check and if i get raised i will let the timer run down and use time bank before calling and usually my opponent thinks i have a marginal hand and nearly always raises big on the turn and i will usually shove all in without hesitation and it makes it hard for your opponent to get a read on you and most of the times i find they call you thinking you were bluffing

Yes - I love that kind of hand. I've done that many times - it's an awesome play and generally reaps great rewards.

nice play bob, that play drives me crazy as it either means they're quite weak or quite strong... Very hard to get a read on it unless you know the person, luckily i can put a note on you now :)

My 'secret' play involves trying to catch out an aggressive player after i've hit a big hand. If i have already bet pre flop i will throw out a medium sized continuation bet. If they call, i check the turn making it seem like i tried to bluff the flop and am now giving up on the hand. Usually they will sense weakness here and try to take it down.
Unfortunately though this trick only works on certain players, and usually only at higher stakes games.

Its a great play for sure. I've used that many times on the aggressive players and it's so enjoyable when it pays off.
With these players, I often think to myself "bide your time" because I know that at some point I will get a corker of a hand and take as much as I can off them. It's just a case of patience.

È sicuramente una grande commedia. L'ho usato molte volte sui giocatori aggressivi ed è così divertente quando dà i suoi frutti.
Con questi giocatori, spesso penso tra me e me "prendi il tuo tempo" perché so che ad un certo punto avrò una mano strepitosa e prenderò da loro quanto più posso. E' solo una questione di pazienza.

I have to say i love that quote...
There is alot of patience and aggression that is involved in playing online poker it seems, if you can develope that skill to combine the two in harmony, compose the tune with your bets, they'd never know what you are going to have, every hand you play would be a secret tactic.
I know there are aggressive players, patient players, and passive players, they tend to always be just one of those ways.. is it common to have players that are so universal you can't tell what type of player they are?

Devo dire che adoro quella citazione...
Sembra che ci sia molta pazienza e aggressività nel giocare a poker online, se riesci a sviluppare quell'abilità per combinare i due in armonia, comporre la melodia con le tue scommesse, non saprebbero mai cosa ti ritroverai, ogni la mano che giochi sarebbe una tattica segreta.
So che ci sono giocatori aggressivi, giocatori pazienti e giocatori passivi, tendono ad essere sempre solo uno di quei modi... è comune avere giocatori così universali che non puoi dire che tipo di giocatore sono?

Good question imagin.....i think that is what separates the men from the boys to be able to be unpredictable.
I think sometimes that is my biggest prob in poker, i feel like i am too predictable sometimes. You know you are when a player will say at the table..."oh she has pocket pairs"!

The ones to watch are the "bluffers" that aren't bluffers. They play a few hands badly, flash their cards at ya and they are rubbish like 82 off etc. Then when you get a reasonable hand and they raise with a ridiculous amount, you think they are bluffing again. Thats when they hit you with their aces.
These are the worst ones but it is a great tactic.

Quelli da tenere d'occhio sono i "bluffatori" che non sono bluffatori. Giocano male alcune mani, ti mostrano le loro carte e sono spazzatura come 82 off, ecc. Poi quando ottieni una mano ragionevole e loro rilanciano con una cifra ridicola, pensi che stiano bluffando di nuovo. È allora che ti colpiscono con i loro assi.
Questi sono i peggiori ma è un'ottima tattica.
Immagina: avrei giurato di aver scritto quanto sopra e di averti risposto ieri, ma non è qui. Mi scuso, devo averlo scritto e mi sono distratto.

Oh my goodness the pretender tactic, i would be afraid of those.. it's also maddening isn't it.. i'd like that bluffer skill, never know if you got a good hand or bad..
i'd have a poker face like no one ever seen, horns on my head and steam coming from my nose, they wanna just give me the win to calm me down lol
