Slow plays are the worst traps in my opinion. This kind of play is dangerous for the "trapper" though as the "trappee" may make their hand. I watched a slow play on pocket aces and opponent had 24 as BB. He hit his straight on the flop and knocked out the opponent because of his slow play.

That is why I look for possible flush draws or straight draws on the board. If there is not three of one suit on the board, then you know the KKK can hold up. So based on what is on the board, I may do an all in to try to get them to fold, or I may do a small raise to distract them from doing an all in.

In NLH things are different but in Omaha you almost never see a good board for KKK. There is always a flush draw or a straight draw and you have to live with that. Some day ago I flopped JJJ and trippled my buy in because there was a straight and the flush came too but I made my FH on the river and this was exactly 3x the buy-in and the other guys had to rebuy. I don't nesseseraly do this every time but in this case I had a very, very good feeling. And I wasn't the person pushing the two of them AI, no, the straight holder do this, the flush draw holder went immediately AI and I just followed.
I mean a trap because with those hands one almost cannot fold and you pay to make the other people rich and I don't like it. Stud is even more brutal. If your starting hand is QQQ, you are far ahead and then you see your opponent making KKK after 6th and he did not make FH, the KKK is enough. What have you done until 6th, raising 4x in the worst case and this mean 50% of your buy-in money are gone!

Qualche giorno fa ho floppato JJJ e ho triplicato il mio buy-in perché c'era una scala ed è arrivato anche il colore, ma ho fatto il mio FH al river e questo era esattamente 3 volte il buy-in e gli altri ragazzi hanno dovuto riacquistare. Non lo faccio necessariamente ogni volta, ma in questo caso ho avuto una sensazione molto, molto buona. E non ero io la persona che spingeva quei due AI, no, il titolare della scala ha fatto questo, il titolare del progetto di colore è andato immediatamente AI e io l'ho semplicemente seguito.
Insomma una trappola perché con quelle mani quasi non si riesce a foldare e paghi per far arricchire gli altri e questo non mi piace. Stud è ancora più brutale. Se la tua mano iniziale è QQQ, sei molto avanti e poi vedi il tuo avversario fare KKK dopo la 6a e non ha fatto FH, il KKK è sufficiente. Cosa hai fatto fino al 6, rilanciando 4x nel peggiore dei casi e questo significa che il 50% del tuo denaro di buy-in è andato!
