Sponge Bob weighs over 30 pounds. Poor "little" thing. I think that people who decide to have a pet need to take care of them. I understand that the owner in this case went into a nursing home but things like this happen quite often., but the cat is so cute.

It is very cute Mark but so unhealthy at the same time. I think its a way some of these owners of pets like to spoil their animals but in all reality they are hurting them and not helping them.
Hopefully if Sponge Bob is adopted the new owner will stick to a diet regime.
LipsÈ molto carino Mark ma allo stesso tempo così malsano. Penso che sia un modo in cui ad alcuni di questi proprietari di animali piace viziare i loro animali, ma in tutta la realtà li feriscono e non li aiutano.

He's a very likeable cat and seems so calm. Poor little fat cat. I agree with Lips, his owner thought he was being kind by spoiling him but all he did was hurt him.
Lets hope he loses all his weight.

Yes, I completely agree with you all, owners don't always pay attention and cats eat everything their owners give them to eat. It seems that people sometimes forget that they are taking care of another living being.

Speaking of large "Domestic" cats, How about a Maine-Coon cat? They average 20 lbs and can go bigger! The local news station had a strange cat some thought was a cougar, but it turned out to be a "Maine-Coon" cat which was HUGE!Sì, ho sentito parlare di questo gatto e anche di "Meow" che pesava 39 chili, ma è morto a causa di un'infezione polmonare. They just said that the owner was old, so probably he or she wasn't able to take care of the cat properly.
