A woman in the US has won a battle to have her full name put on her driving licence. Wait for it, wait for it...
... here's the name:
Janice Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele
Hawaii government computer systems are to be upgraded by the end of the year, allowing her to have her full name on her driving licence and ID card, the current system allowed just 35 characters.
Ms Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele says that her name has many layers of meanings including "one who would stand up and get people to focus in one direction when there was chaos and confusion, and help them emerge from disorder". Sounds a bit redundant to me 
She was unwilling to change the name back to her maiden name, which was way more compact: Worth.
I have to admit that I would want to change my name (my real one that is) because my family name is double-barrelled, my father and mother decided to combine their names into one after getting married. Needless to say the resulting name is quite long and it makes filling out forms time-consuming.

I saw this news item too. She said it is a true Hawaiian name and she won't change it. I don't think I would change it tbh. It would be like disprespecting her (dead?) husband.
blueHo visto anch'io questa notizia. Ha detto che è un vero nome hawaiano e non lo cambierà. Non credo che lo cambierei, a dire il vero. Sarebbe come mancare di rispetto al marito (morto?).

No way I would change my name because a computer system couldn't support it. It is a little long, yes but if I lost my husband I would not change it!
Non cambierei assolutamente il mio nome perché un sistema informatico non potrebbe supportarlo. È un po’ lungo sì ma se perdessi mio marito non lo cambierei!

My last name is 12 characters long plus my first, Chantel so just shy of 20 letters total! ! I'd definitely choose my maiden name if i was Janice Keihana etc.
Il mio cognome è lungo 12 caratteri più il mio primo, Chantel, quindi poco meno di 20 lettere in totale! ! Sceglierei sicuramente il mio nome da nubile se fossi Janice Keihana ecc.
