Tommorow is Veterans Day here in the United States. I am so very proud of our soldiers! I would like to start a post for all countires honoring our veterans. I am so very proud of my cousin Stephen who served 3 tours in Iraq. He is home now and I am very proud of him! Please comment on what makes you proud on Veterans Day. Thank you. Debbie

Happy Veterans Day to all our soldiers near and far, those that have risked their lives to keep us safe, came about with bravery, honor and loyalty. We commend you with great honor and highest respect.
I was watching the World War series events on History Channel, where they had the live footages of the astrocities of war.. there was a Veteran from the US fighting a war in another country who made a comment he said..
"Here i am in this land where the bombs drop a dime a dozen, I'm here from a land that has never had one bomb drop upon us, I'm a United States Marine".. thats something to be proud of..Buon Veterans Day a tutti i nostri soldati vicini e lontani, coloro che hanno rischiato la vita per tenerci al sicuro, con coraggio, onore e lealtà. Ti lodiamo con grande onore e massimo rispetto.
Stavo guardando gli eventi della serie sulla Guerra Mondiale su History Channel, dove c'erano filmati in diretta delle atrocità della guerra... c'era un veterano degli Stati Uniti che combatteva una guerra in un altro paese che ha fatto un commento che ha detto...
"Eccomi in questa terra dove le bombe ne sganciano una monetina una dozzina, vengo da una terra che non è mai stata sganciata una bomba su di noi, sono un marine degli Stati Uniti"... è qualcosa di cui essere orgogliosi. . -

From my grandpa, who chased Pancho Villa and fought in both world wars, to my dad, who played clarinet in the Navy band, to my uncle, who navigated a B-52 bomber in Vietnam, and my father-in-law, a helicopter pilot in Vietnam who died 3 months before his son was born, and my brother, retired from the air force - to all the soldiers who have fought for my freedom. Today is also Veterans Day or Rememberance Day as we call it here in the UK (and also called Poppy Day).
Today at 11am the entire country will stop everything to observe the 2 minutes silence to remember all those that fought bravely not only in the first world war but in all times of fighting and have lost their lives protecting and fighting for their country.
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. We shall remember.
Oggi è anche il Veterans Day o il Giorno della Memoria come lo chiamiamo qui nel Regno Unito (e chiamato anche Poppy Day).
Oggi alle 11 tutto il Paese fermerà tutto per osservare i 2 minuti di silenzio per ricordare tutti coloro che hanno combattuto coraggiosamente non solo nella prima guerra mondiale ma in tutti i tempi di lotta e hanno perso la vita proteggendo e combattendo per il proprio Paese.
L'undicesima ora dell'undicesimo giorno dell'undicesimo mese. Ricorderemo.
