A British man went to his local shops to buy some alcohol and when paying for his goods at the checkout (booze), he was asked to prove that he was over 18.

I get asked once in a while and I think it's ridiculous. The penalty for selling to anyone underage though is hefty for a shop. But I'm sure a 50 year old man looked at least a couple years over 18.
Ogni tanto me lo chiedono e penso che sia ridicolo. La sanzione per la vendita a minorenni è però pesante per un negozio. Ma sono sicuro che un uomo di 50 anni dimostrasse almeno un paio di anni in più.
