Just got an email from the Washington Lottery Commision. Starting January 31st, they will start selling Mega Millions tickets AND Powerball tickets. There's (I believe) 23 states which sell Mega and so this will add another choice for lottery ticket buyers. This will now increase the amount of possible players in each lottery although it will also lessen the high jackpots. However, for those who liked playing powerball, though they were too far to drive for a $5 ticket, this now means they don't have to!
I see this as good as the people who wanted to play, don't waste more gas then they did before.

I hear you Tony, they sold the state of Oregon the same bill of goods, but then the truth came out. The extra cash went to the "General Fund" and so it doesn't really go where they "Said" it would.

Either way, you'd be in for a shock.
