What's everyone's plans for xmas?
I always prefer xmas eve to xmas day, which is tomorrow 
. As a kid we always used to do so much. We used to go off to visit family member's graves in the morning. Then other family members would come up in the afternoon to see us and in the evening we would head to church.
Now as my family here haven't been too well and i'm older, things will be a bit more quiet. On xmas eve we will probably will watch xmas films until the evening, then I will open my selection of xmas beers and stay up until after the midnight church service on tv.
Then xmas day will be quiet. I get up and we all open presents. Later I will help cook xmas dinner and we sit watching xmas tv for the rest of the day

I was hoping to spend Christmas day with my Son and his family but sadly they want to be on their own. My little bro and his wife are coming to me instead so I'll be sweating over the Christmas dinner for a good few hours and then hopefully a game of poker, some good wine and nibbles. I have tons to do before all the above can happen though!
Speravo di trascorrere il giorno di Natale con mio figlio e la sua famiglia, ma purtroppo vogliono stare da soli. Il mio fratellino e sua moglie verranno invece da me, quindi suderò per alcune ore durante la cena di Natale e poi, spero, una partita a poker, del buon vino e stuzzichini. Ho tantissime cose da fare prima che tutto ciò possa accadere!

I think i'm not feeling as xmassy as usual this year partly due to the weather. Other years I can always remember the wintry weather. Normally we would have a cold frost on the ground, frosted up windows, plenty of fog, even some snow. I remember outside you could see your own breath.
This year in the UK though we are having none of that. It's storms galore, no frost, no snow, nothing. At the moment it's pouring down with rain and is dark and windy outside.Mi dispiace sentire questo Blueday. Il resto ti sembra piuttosto carino

Penso che quest'anno non mi sentirò così natalizio come al solito, in parte a causa del tempo. Gli altri anni riesco sempre a ricordare il clima invernale. Normalmente avremmo una gelata al suolo, finestre ghiacciate, molta nebbia e persino un po' di neve. Ricordo che fuori potevi vedere il tuo stesso respiro.
Quest’anno nel Regno Unito però non avremo nulla di tutto ciò. Ci sono tempeste in abbondanza, niente gelo, niente neve, niente. In questo momento piove a dirotto e fuori è buio e ventoso. -

I know what you mean! The wind is raging and we have 7 flood warnings at the moment. It's been an absolutely dire day weather-wise.

Christmas eve will be spent at my house this year. The windy city is a blustery MINUS 20 below zero with the windchill. So baby its cold outside!
Planning on have a smorgasbord of food, appetizers and lots of cocktails, got to keep warm some how right! Christmas Eve has always been big at our house. I remember as a kid I couldn't wait to go to bed so the next morning would come quicker! We do gifts christmas morning and a late din din. Family friends, food, and gifts what more could one as for!
La vigilia di Natale è sempre stata una festa importante a casa nostra. Ricordo che da bambina non vedevo l'ora di andare a letto così la mattina dopo sarebbe arrivata più velocemente!
