I know if I give them my number, they will call. But why are they trying to look like a local company calling me?
This time it is Bingo Knights, offering a bonus. But they called from my area code, trying to pretend to be a local number. When I looked the number up online, it has been used by so many scammers trying to intimidate or persuade people to give them money for various reasons...debts, sales, and now, bingo...
Makes me REALLY not trust bingo knights. What reason would they have for masking their phone number? phishy....

tutto sommato

I get some of these phone calls too, but I cut the chat quickly: Hello. No, thanks. Bye.
No grazie. Ciao.

I use my magic jack number, unplugged, so I never hear them. But sometimes they leave a message, which I can play on my computer. I look up all the unidentified numbers to see who they may be. Usually scam bill collectors.
But this practice of disguising their real phone number to look like a local call...so far only Bingo Knights has gone this far to try to get me to answser.

More than likely they are calling from Skype chilly that is why the number may be coming up locally. I am just surprised they are making calls now! I know the emails can be ridiculous they send.

I get calls from BookMaker with the 305 area code... southern tip of Florida... they called the other day and I could hear noise in the background but they did not speak to me. Then they followed up with an email that said that they had tried to call me...
