Residents of Windsor have been experiencing strange vibrations in the ground and a noticeable hum in the air for several months.
Up until now little has been done to determine the cause and many people have considered it more of a joke than anything serious. Councillor Al Maghnieh has taken up efforts to get to the bottom of the mystery. "This is potentially very dangerous," he said.
I experienced something similar that lasted for six hours on October of 2001, it could not be pinpointed, it was everywhere in a several square block radius. You would walk to where you thought it was coming from, it appeared to be coming from where you just were; weird.
"A small village in England is the latest to become victim to a strange unexplained humming noise. Residents of Woodland, in County Durham, claim that every night a noise permeates the air similar to the throb of a car engine. It is sometimes so strong that it even shakes the bed of one of the householders. But no matter how hard they look, the community cannot find the source of the problem and, at their wits end, have called in the council to investigate."
I wonder what these noises/rumblings are?

I just discovered in Taos NM, they have had it off and on for a while; they call it the Taos Hum.
That may be linked to govt labs outside town, but in the other places, they cannot find a source.
There are a few Youtube videos, the recording isn't the best though
Ho appena scoperto che a Taos NM lo hanno fatto a intermittenza per un po'; lo chiamano Taos Hum.
Potrebbe essere collegato a laboratori governativi fuori città, ma in altri posti non riescono a trovare una fonte.
