Hiya LCB’ers,
I learned something the other day that all I could say was ……..no wayyy!!! Driving in the car with a friend of mine we go to the drive-thru of McDonalds to get something to drink. We place our drink order when my friend casually says…they must use the call center at this location, because she was super friendly.
Trying to process in my mind what she just said I ask her……call center?? She says yep call center. Ok now im really confused…..what do you mean call center? McDonalds has a call center where customer service takes your order from a central location.
Ok maybe it’s just me and I have been living under a rock. I am blown away. I said ….no wayyyyyyyyy!! All this time when I am thinking that the purpose who takes my order is the same person that takes my cash at the window….isnt it??
Some locations have the “Out Source” order taking and some don’t. That would explain why sometimes the service is good at the window and sometimes I have to repeat my order three times before they get it right.
The woman that took our order was very polite and got it the first time! I pull up to the window to pay and I am looking for what I think was this woman who took my order when a man indeed Is at the window! Still In disbelief I ask him…..where is the woman who took our order? He said oh that’s our Call Center!!
I know…….i know it may seem like it does not take much to get me all excited! Did anyone was else know this or am I the only one.

Alcune località hanno l'accettazione dell'ordine "Out Source" e altre no. Ciò spiegherebbe perché a volte il servizio allo sportello è buono e a volte devo ripetere il mio ordine tre volte prima che lo facciano bene.
La donna che ha preso il nostro ordine è stata molto gentile e l'ha ricevuto la prima volta! Mi avvicino alla finestra per pagare e cerco quella che penso fosse questa donna che ha preso il mio ordine quando un uomo è davvero alla finestra! Ancora incredulo gli chiedo... dov'è la donna che ha preso la nostra ordinazione? Ha detto oh quello è il nostro Call Center!!
Lo so…….lo so che può sembrare che non ci voglia molto per emozionarmi! Qualcun altro lo sapeva o sono l'unico.

Yes its true. I work in a restaurant that orders are placed over the phone, and if the phone rings over 5 times its picked up by a "call center". They may live 100 miles away, but it still works. The order is printed out on a ticket machine that beeps every time one comes through. They get paid $3 for every order they place for our location.
Si è vero. Lavoro in un ristorante in cui gli ordini vengono effettuati tramite telefono e se il telefono squilla più di 5 volte viene risposto da un "call center". Potrebbero vivere a 100 miglia di distanza, ma funziona ancora. L'ordine viene stampato su una biglietteria automatica che emette un segnale acustico ogni volta che passa. Totally wild!! We could be placing an order clear across country! I still don't understand why they do it. To put all that time, effort and money in opening a call center when they can just properly train staff!Totalmente selvaggio!! Potremmo effettuare un ordine in tutto il paese! Ancora non capisco perché lo facciano. Mettere tutto quel tempo, impegno e denaro nell'apertura di un call center quando possono semplicemente formare adeguatamente il personale! -

Well the only money that is actually spent is whats given to the person that takes the call. Its not actually a "center" such as a place where a bunch of people sit and wait, its done from home, and really cost efficient if you think about spending $3 to make $10 to $100 each call...
Ebbene, l'unico denaro effettivamente speso è quello dato alla persona che risponde alla chiamata. In realtà non è un "centro" come un posto dove un gruppo di persone si siede e aspetta, è fatto da casa ed è davvero conveniente se pensi di spendere $ 3 per fare da $ 10 a $ 100 ogni chiamata...
