As awesome as this is do you think it is cruel to teach an elephant to paint? I am just wondering how grueling this training was.

It depends on the trainer. It could have been done slowly over time and interactive for the elephant. So sweet

The elephant must have to breath through it's mouth whilst it's painting with it's nose. Yes I think it's cruel and it looks like they sell them as gifts to make a bit of money.
L'elefante deve respirare attraverso la bocca mentre dipinge con il naso. Sì, penso che sia crudele e sembra che li vendano come regali per fare un po' di soldi.

It's a pretty sad sight for me, I'm pretty sure that elephant wasn't that keen on learning how to paint.
È uno spettacolo piuttosto triste per me, sono abbastanza sicuro che l'elefante non fosse così entusiasta di imparare a dipingere.

That's kinda what i am thinking Johnny. This was no easy task to train and most likely took some harsh discipline i would think. Stories like this sometimes bother me especially when the animal one day decides to turn on the trainer and then they are shot and killed because of it.
LipsÈ più o meno quello che penso, Johnny. Non è stato un compito facile da addestrare e molto probabilmente ha richiesto una dura disciplina, penserei. Storie come queste a volte mi danno fastidio, soprattutto quando un giorno l'animale decide di accendere l'addestratore e poi viene colpito e ucciso a causa di ciò.

Why do you think it's cruel? Most of dogs' owners teach their animals some kind of tricks like sit, jump through hoops or anything like that. They just tought elephant how to paint, who knows how training looked like and if elephant enjoys painting or not?
By the way- I though it will be just some random lines but this is incredible!Perché pensi che sia crudele? La maggior parte dei proprietari di cani insegna ai propri animali qualche tipo di trucco come sedersi, saltare nei cerchi o qualcosa del genere. Hanno semplicemente insegnato all'elefante come dipingere, chissà come sarebbe stato l'addestramento e se all'elefante piace dipingere o no?
A proposito, pensavo che saranno solo alcune linee casuali, ma è incredibile!
