    So, standing on the back porch when a big gust hits the area (Pacific Northwest, Vancouver, WA area) and I hear this THUD. Something hit in the turtle sandbox (Which doesn't have any sand in it) and so I go to find....

    A baby squirrell.....Out here, you need a permit to rescue them or you can face stiff fines, I call a local "Squirrell Rescue" and they quickly came out..To my surprise, while looking around we found another baby!!

    This was the responders 5th call that day for babies being tossed out or falling or jumping out of the nest!! What made me cringe was the responder picked them out without a seconds hesitation, When I expressed my surprise (Won't they bite?) she said "They're as helpless as can be"

    So off she went with them. While I am saving for a van, I think a bit could find it's way to this responders budget....Such a strange night tonight...The worst part was when she said "Be on the lookout more to possibly appear"

    Oh just great.... shocked shocked shocked


    Quindi, stando sulla veranda sul retro quando una grande raffica colpisce l'area (area del Pacifico nord-occidentale, Vancouver, WA) e sento questo TOMBO. Qualcosa ha colpito la sabbiera delle tartarughe (che non contiene sabbia) e quindi vado a cercare....

    Un cucciolo di scoiattolo... Qui fuori, hai bisogno di un permesso per salvarli o potresti incorrere in multe salate, ho chiamato un "Squirrell Rescue" locale e sono subito usciti... Con mia sorpresa, mentre ci guardavamo intorno ne abbiamo trovato un altro Bambino!!

    Questa era la quinta chiamata dei soccorritori quel giorno per bambini buttati fuori, caduti o saltati fuori dal nido!! Ciò che mi ha fatto rabbrividire è stato il soccorritore che li ha individuati senza un secondo di esitazione, quando ho espresso la mia sorpresa (non morderanno?) ha detto "Sono indifesi come possono essere"

    Quindi partì con loro. Mentre sto risparmiando per un furgone, penso che un po' potrebbe trovare la sua strada nel budget dei soccorritori... Che serata strana stasera... La parte peggiore è stata quando ha detto "Stai più attento per poter eventualmente apparire"

    Oh semplicemente fantastico.... shockedshockedshocked

    Awwww, poveri bambini sad .Non ne ho mai sentito parlare... strano. Ho sentito parlare di scoiattoli volanti ma non di quelli che cadono. Sono felice che stiano bene.

    That is about one of the cutest stories i have heard in a long time. And what is amazing is the baby was just fine. I have tons of squirrels in my yard and its a merry go round of of the birds wanting the seed, the squirrels wanting the peaches and hazel wanting them all!

    Maybe it is that time of year for baby squirrels to be born. In any case it's a wild story!

    Si tratta di una delle storie più carine che ho sentito da molto tempo. E la cosa sorprendente è che il bambino stava bene. Ho tonnellate di scoiattoli nel mio giardino ed è un allegro giro di uccelli che vogliono il seme, gli scoiattoli che vogliono le pesche e il nocciolo che li vogliono tutti!

    Forse è quel periodo dell'anno in cui nascono i piccoli scoiattoli. In ogni caso è una storia pazzesca!
