Yesterday on the Simpsons I heard Lisa say something like, "how many civil liberties must we give up in the name of fighting terrorism?" The DOJ thinks it is fighting terrorism by cutting off the money supply (money being laundered). I hope to God that they are right and are stopping a lot of terrorists in their tracks. But I don't think that's what is being accomplished. This is the price we pay for "freedom". Apparently if you want freedom, you have to give it up.
Ieri nei Simpson ho sentito Lisa dire qualcosa del tipo: "a quante libertà civili dobbiamo rinunciare in nome della lotta al terrorismo?" Il Dipartimento di Giustizia ritiene di combattere il terrorismo tagliando l'offerta di moneta (riciclaggio di denaro). Spero in Dio che abbiano ragione e che stiano fermando molti terroristi sul loro cammino. Ma non credo che questo sia ciò che si sta realizzando. Questo è il prezzo che paghiamo per la “libertà”. A quanto pare, se vuoi la libertà, devi rinunciarvi.
